What is friendfeed and do we need another social networking site?

admiral's friendfeed FriendFeed is service for people to keep up-to-date on the web pages, photos, videos and music that their friends and family are sharing. It offers a unique way to discover and discuss information among friends.

The goal of FriendFeed is to make content on the Web more relevant and useful for you by using your existing social network as a tool for discovering interesting information. You get a customized feed made up of the content that your friends shared — from news articles to family photos to interesting links and videos. And your friends get their customized feeds, full of the cool stuff that you’ve shared.

So far I like the fact you can keep the FriendFeed up-to-date by setting up automatic post from other accounts like Twitter, Tumblr and so many others.  Unlike some social networking sites that make you enter something to take advantage of it FriendFeed allows you to continue the use of your other accounts and it will updated your account from those sites.

About Jeff

Up until 2005 I was a normal hard working father of 4 happily married. Then May 3, 2005 I had major heart issues which put me in the hospital for five weeks being worked up for a heart transplant. I was then fortunate to get out and have weight loss surgery and over 180 pounds later I do not need a heart transplant. I am still working hard married to a beautiful wife Tammy and have three children in the home and one gown up and on her own. Blogging started as a way to keep a journal of my medical issues and then in 2007 I took Fam5 public and actively promoting the blog. I know post about 'stuff that matters' and have the almost famous 'freaky friday link love'. Hope you enjoy the blog and look forward to your comments. Thank you
