Farmer’s Market at Turtle Bay

Posted by Admiral70 | Food | July 2007

Over the weekend we found out about a new Farmer’s Market starting up in Redding.  This one is the Farmer’s Market at Turtle Bay.

We missed the Farmer’s Market at the Redding Civic Center which is on Saturday’s.  I found out about it in the Record Searchlight paper on Sunday.  After taking Brittany to work we wen to the market to pickup some fresh tomatoes and anything else that looked good.  Here we have Tammy, Brandon, and Adriana picking out some produce from one of the vendors.

For the most part the same vendors from the Saturday Farmer’s Market at the Redding Civic Center were there.  There were a couple of different vendors selling non produce items.

One the way home we stopped by McDonald’s and let the kids have a kids meal.  That night I barbecued some boneless pork ribs that I seasoned with a combination of Chef Ryan’s seasons with flavors of jalapeno, garlic, and chipolte spice rubs.  If I find a link to his website I will update this post.

If you have never been to a Farmer’s Market your missing out.  Find one in your town and go at least once, well worth the time.

Have a great week.

We have a farmer’s market at New Life Assembly, just a block from our house. Unfortunately, it is on Friday evening. This is not a good time for us to shop. If it were on Saturday, we would frequent it.
