Spoke to my current auto lender about refinancing.  They offered us a a chance to get out of our Chevy Van (78k miles) and into something newer. We have spent about a week searching at 5 different dealers. A lot out there but a little pricey and not what we were wanting to pay.Â
I spoke to Kenny at Redding Kia (purchased from Corning Kia/Ford) and told him our situation and what I wanted to do. I then told him if he had something that fit into those parameters to let me know. He called us back Saturday morning and said he had a 2006 Kia Sorento (17k miles) that would fit into to my demands/needs. After 2 hours we drove off with a blue 2006 Kia Sorento. The Family in front of our 2006 Kia Sorento over looking Shasta Dam.  We immediately cleaned out the garage so the Sorento could be parked indoors.
What I found interesting was we were able to lower the interest rate enough to get out of our vehicle and into a newer one with not effecting the payment all that much. I guess the lesson to be learned here is if you are thinking of refinancing your vehicle don’t forget to call your current lender and see what they have to offer.
Have a great week and try to stay cool. Expected to be in the 100’s this week in Shasta Lake City.
