Why Hi-fi is Lost Forever
First and foremost Happy New Year to everyone. I hope it was a save transition for all. With the dawn of the new year comes another law that will takes effect for California drivers. Which coincides with the cell phone law of 2008 and prohibits text messaging with a cell phone or other text-based communications while driving a vehicle. To learn more watch "Drivers put the brakes on texting" by KABC-TV Los Angeles, CA. I know this is a good thing for all of us. It just seems like there taking away more and more of our rights as an US citizen.
On that note I charged up my AT&T Tilt Smartphone running Windows Mobile 6.1 and Jabra BT250v Bluetooth Headset with Vibrating Alert
and took our daughter to cosmetology school. I secured the ear pierce and made sure it was paired to my phone. I backed out and headed down the road. I was in the mood for some rock-n-roll. I put in Rock N Roll Jesus by Kid Rock. As Roll On played throughout the vehicle I realized I was not hearing in high-fidelity stereo. I raised my ear pierce and the music flowed and sounded great. I laid the ear pierce down next to me to hear the music. Within 3 miles the phone starts ringing so I reached down and fumbled with the ear pierce to get it in and turned on before missing the call. Of course doing so did two things. 1) Stopped the stereo effect of the music
and 2) The call required me to turn the stereo down way low to not disrupt the call.
As you can see by this post that made me think that perhaps we have lost high-fidelity stereo in cars. What is hi-fi let see what Wikipedia has to say:
High fidelity or hi-fi reproduction is a term used by home stereo listeners and home audio enthusiasts (audiophiles) to refer to high-quality reproduction of sound or images that are very faithful to the original performance.
Well according to this definition we have lost high fidelity in car stereos while wearing ear pieces. I recall shooters wearing an ear plug that allowed talk to come through but not the sound waves of a shot. Someone needs to build a Bluetooth pieces that would allow that ear to hear the music come through. I know wake up Admiral but who knows perhaps we have an inventor reading and can us out with this.
Happy New Year and may 2009 bring joy and happiness to all. Obey the rules of the road!
