Jeff Keeping It Real!

Well it has been a week since our last post.  We are completely moved to our new home.  We are out of the other place and everything is at the new house.  Our house is in order but can not say that about our garage.  The garage is temporarily the catch all. The move went rather well considering we took all week.  Of course this is why our house is in order and setup. I hope to take some pictures of our house setup and actually done.  We absolutely love our new home and look foward to many years of great family living in it.

Thanks all for checking on the progress through this site.  Please keep checking back as I will get some new pictures up in the next couple of days.

I have ran into some interesting things from the Internet I wanted to share with you guys.First is a site called pageflakes

What is pageflakes?
Pageflakes is your personalized start page on the Internet. Your address book, local weather information, to-do-list, news, blogs and much more – all on one page that you can access from anywhere. I find it a nice alternative to your homepage. At first it was pretty cool but the more I enter my pageflake I find it not as cool as I hoped for. I have not had time to play with it a lot to see if it would allow me to add better content to my page. Worth checking out and seeing what you think. I feel it has potential.

The other thing I wanted to share with you is called Podcastready. It is a site that you can download a little player/downloader for listening to podcast. You add sites either through the desktop player or on the website. Then using the desktop player you can download various podcast and listen to them at your leisure. I have a couple of news cast and a few technology based podcast. I enjoy listening to the opinions and reviews of others. If you enjoy listening to talk radio or watch the news you will find this site up your alley.

Lastly I have been using the RSS feeds a lot lately. I use IE 7 for my browser and one of the new functions is the browsers ability to notice a site has an RSS feed. The RSS feed icon will light up allowing you to add it to your RSS favorites. Then you can visit your favorites and when the link is bold in color you will know to click on it and it will take you to the site so that you can read what they have added to there site for the day.

Well it was official Thursday evening we are home owners.  I have posted more photos to the right but thought I would share just a couple here in a post.

This one is of the Living room with the new front door in place.  We look forward to many entertaining nights in our new front room.

Here is the kitchen done with all the new appliances. 

Took this shot from the street looking at the front door through a river Burch tree.  Oh and notice the lawn was installed/planted.  I can envision some sort of water feature in the front.  I told Tammy it would be neat to have a Japanese theme in the front.  Our sort of Zen garden.

Well this is just a couple of photos before we start moving in.  It is sort of the calm before the storm right now.  Of course our home looks like a tornado has hit.  We are shooting for Sunday (May 20th) being our big day of moving.  We would like to move our beds (ours, and kids) and start staying there right away.  We will see how that goes and wether we accomplish that or not. It maybe a few days before I post again so please keep checking back for a post of us in our New home.  I will also put together some sort of power point presentation highlighting our experiences during this 30 day process.  Can you believe from the day we put a bid in to closing was 34 days.  We are so pleased with the way everything is turning out.  Never would we have thought a couple of months ago we would be moving into a NEW home.  A couple of months ago the only thing in our future was some old homes that need work.  Then a friend said hey take a look at this new construction.  Of course mister skeptical said yea yea out of our range.  Well it turned out it was in our range.  Not to mention we found it in the right time so that we (Tammy) could help pick colors for the walls, flooring and lighting fixtures.  As I sit here and type this I must stop and Thank God for blessing our family.  Thank God first and foremost for giving me a new lease of life 2 years ago to today allowing us to buy a BEAUTIFUL new home.  Thank you, Thank you.
